Hailing from Yarmouth, Maine, Charles Brown is a seasoned songwriter, performer, teacher, and church musician with a profound musical lineage. Educated with a B.A. from Boston University and a Master’s in Choral Conducting from the University of Maine, Charles’s expertise spans from the intricate Baroque period to the soulful expressions of Jazz. His passion is making ancient texts resonate with contemporary audiences, and his talent in composition has led to several original works for Nativity and professionally recorded projects like “I’ve Got a New Song to Sing: Psalms for Our Times.”
But it’s not just about the music. Charles is also the creative force behind Maine’s “Barroom Messiah,” showcasing his flair for connecting with the community and creating shared musical experiences.
