🎵🎹 Tonight from 7 to 10 pm, Bistro La Cave proudly presents an exquisite musical evening featuring two of Maine’s most versatile and accomplished artists – Ezra Rugg on bass and Charlie Brown on keys and vocals.

Ezra Rugg, a Manhattan-born musician, settled in Maine at the tender age of three. As a well-versed multi-instrumentalist, Ezra began his musical journey experimenting with different instruments including trumpets, saxophones, piano, guitar, drums, and bass. His early influences came from emulating the bluesy sound of Jimi Hendrix. Further refining his skills at UMA, he delved into studying bass with Ben Street and drums with Steve Grover. Ezra’s mastery of the upright bass came at 26 and since then he has performed with renowned artists such as The Coasters, Jon Fishman, and fronted his own group, The Antigravity Band. His diverse experience and innate love for music promise a riveting performance tonight.

Charlie Brown, a seasoned band leader from Portland, is known for his musical dexterity and insightful songwriting. His career milestones include leading Andrea Re and Clouds, the Jensons, the Red Light revue in the 80s, Papa Loves Mambo in the 90s, and more recent collaborations with the CBO and Feral Academy. Today, Charlie serves as the music director at Nativity Lutheran Church in Rockport and resides in Vinalhaven. His profound experience and soulful keyboarding and vocals make him a cherished asset to the local music scene.
