Join us from 8 PM to 11 PM this evening as we host ‘The Maine Groove’, an organ trio that promises an unforgettable musical journey! Expect an eclectic blend of groove-oriented jazz – from bop to Latin, funk to swing, we’ve got all your jazz cravings covered.
Meet the Trio:
🎹 Stanley Polanski (keyboards) is no stranger to the jazz scene. From NYC gigs with jazz icons such as Eddie Gomez and Dave Weckl to being the music director for R&B legend Maxine Brown, Stan’s stellar career has led him to our stage tonight.
🎸 David Clarke (guitar), a world-traveling jazz guitarist and Maine’s very own, brings an international flavor to the group. From performing at John Travolta’s house on New Year’s Eve for eight straight years to playing in numerous jazz ensembles, his musical flair is evident in each chord.
🥁 Tom Oldakowski (drums), with his extensive touring experience with jazz legend Mose Allison and a 35-year stint as the staff drummer at Radio City Music Hall, Tom is the rhythmic backbone of The Maine Groove. His NYC recording work includes the animated TV series Jem & The Holograms, The Tony Awards, The Miss America Pageant, and jingles for Ford, Avis, Wendy’s, RC Cola, Hasbro, Campbell’s Soup and more.
